SIACA helps Venezuela’s fight against Covid-19
As the Covid-19 pandemic continues, SIACA is handling essential medical cargo at Simon Bolivar (SVMI / CCS) airport, for distribution to Venezuelan hospitals as quickly as possible.
Over the past week, SIACA has handled medical supplies, which were shipped from China, to support Venezuela’s healthcare sector.
SIACA handled cargo flights including an Ethiopian Airlines cargo-only Boeing 777F carrying 55 tons of medical supplies. And a Hainan Airlines cargo/passenger flight, which flew a Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner passenger aircraft, with medical staff, and 24 tons of face masks, hand gloves, thermometers, mechanical ventilation systems, Covid-19 detection kits, and personal protective equipment (PPE) for front-line healthcare workers battling the pandemic.
This equipment is now in use in hospitals across Venezuela.
